Geography

Specifying a geography allows the user to restrict searching for documents with specific assigned geography e.g. England, Scotland etc.. All documents have been assigned a basic geography, thus this search option can be used to restrict the results to specific geographical areas.

Note.
The level of geographic specificity implied by this search is perhaps unhelpful. Many census and registrar's general reports cover more than one geographical area, so can be found when searching for one or all of the places selected. Hence searching on Wales alone does not mean searching for reports or documents which contain only material from Wales, but for documents or reports which contain some information about Wales.
